Don Papa Rum Debuts Two Specialty Cocktails For The Holidays

Refreshing Holiday Cocktails with Don Papa Rum

The holidays in the Philippines are never complete without booze! This year, Don Papa Rum unlocks the magic of the season by introducing two specialty drinks that have a uniquely Filipino touch.

The Philippine premium single island rum brand unveils holiday cocktails Sugarlandia Sour and the Merienda Colada. These creations with rich and luscious flavors are the result of a collaboration between Audrey Gustilo, Don Papa Rum’s resident mixologist and brand ambassador, and Black Box, a popular bar in Katipunan, Quezon City.

The Sugarlandia Sour is a delightful mix of Don Papa Rum 7 years old, fresh kamias juice, and tamarind cordial that bring the tangy and sweet taste. The drink is almost like an experience especially with the yogurt popping caviar that surprises the taste buds each sip. 

Merienda Colada, on the other hand, does not only make one feel festive, but also evokes nostalgia because of its flavors. It is a delicious combination of Don Papa Rum 7 years old, ube cordial, pineapple juice, coconut, and rice milk. It’s also topped with white chocolate, kesong puti foam, rice milk crackers, banana puree, and a jello infused with Don Papa Rum 7 Years Old and jackfruit – a beautiful chaos of flavors and textures inside the mouth.

The cocktails were launched in a magnificently sensorial event in Baked Studios last November 15, 2023, where the whimsical world of Sugarlandia came to life. Every corner was gram-worthy, with its stylized exotic foliage embodying the lush flora and fauna of the local Sugarlandia, Negros Island, the home of Don Papa Rum.

If you would like to try these delicious drinks for yourself, Don Papa Rum has also partnered with The Spirits Library in Poblacion, Makati City to offer glimpses of the magical world of Sugarlandia throughout the holiday season. Both the Sugarlandia Sour and the Merienda Colada will be on their menu for three consecutive Fridays on November 24, December 1, and December 8.
