Team Out of Town Blog Hub (www.outoftownblog.com) – Taal Vista Hotel is waiting for you this holiday season and wants you to experience a memorable staycation. Last November 19, they hosted their latest display – from A Walk Through Time Exhibit and In The Mood Wine Dinner for media and guests.
Tagaytay, which is just an hour’s drive south, has offered us breathtaking spots and nice weather – making it a perfect place for special gatherings, quick road trips with friends, and coffee dates for beaus.
Taal Vista is no-stranger in helping travelers create good memories in Tagaytay. It has grown its reputation as a venue where people celebrate special moments with their friends and families.
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Mid-Gardens
Last November 19, the Taal Vista Hotel invited the media team to gather around for their annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Mid-Gardens. Everyone was in a festive mood and was also joined by Director Marites Castro, Regional OIC of Department of Tourism, Miss Peggy Angeles, Executive Vice President of SM Hotels and Conventions, and Mr. Ramon Makilan, General Manager of Taal Vista Hotel.
It wasn’t just a traditional tree lighting ceremony, but rather a memorable one of the children of Augustinian Sisters Servants of Jesus and Mary, as they were the beneficiaries of the ceremonial gift-giving. The tree lighting was indeed a symbol of hope and a source of holiday cheer for the guests and the children.
A Walk Through Time Exhibit Opening
For their “A Walk Through Time Exhibit,” Taal Vista Hotel aims to shine a light on their rich heritage and the famous Taal Volcano Island. It highlights the culture and tourism of Tagaytay City and how it has kept the city alive. The exhibit was spearheaded by Mr. Nestor Jardin and Mr. Dennis Maristany of Mabuhay Guides.
“A Walk Through Time” exhibit is located on the ground floor of the Lake Wing and open to all guests of the hotel. During the opening ceremony, it was opened by Miss Aniela Tolentino, an international entrepreneur, environmental advocate, and the eldest daughter of Congressman Bambol and Mayor Agnes Tolentino; and other distinguished guests from Director Marites Castro, Regional OIC of Department of Tourism; Miss Peggy Angeles, Executive Vice President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corp.; Mr. Ramon Makilan, General Manager of Taal Vista Hotel; and Mr. Nestor Jardin, Consultant of SM Hotels and Conventions Corp.
One of the highlights of the exhibit was that they were proud to announce that even during the pandemic, they were able to train 16 team members, and are now officially Taal Vista Hotel tour guides. If the guest wants to avail of a guided tour, the package is priced at Php 800 inclusive of a snack.
In The Mood Wine Dinner in Partnership with Happy Living Philippines Corporation
Taal Vista Hotel elevated their dinner and wine tasting experience, as esteemed guests last November 19 were treated to an extensive seven-course dinner inspired by the 1930s and 1940s era created by the culinary team headed by Executive Chef Jayme Natividad. The guests also get to taste wines from Happy Living Philippines Corporation.
The curated menu consisted of amuse bouche – Chicken Relleno paired with Little Miss Rose 2020; soup – Sopa Aristocrat, salad – Pansit Buko Salad, main courses – Lapu-Lapu De La Reina paired with Beringer NV Chardonnay 2016 and Filet de boeuf Prince Albert paired with Ramón Bilbao Gran Reserva 2011, and dessert – Cathedral Windows paired with Brachetto D’ Acqui 2019.
From the terrace and themed venue, it was crafted and styled by Julius Villamante of Amante Fleurs using fresh, local flowers with touches of black accent pieces. To match with the 1930-1940s era, there were also some classic pieces on display and some entertainment care of musical artists singer Innah Chico and pianist Lloyd Nicolas.
After the dinner, guests brought home a specially curated holiday box of freshly baked goodies from Taal Vista Hotel’s Cakeshop, and it was such a delight.
